Garnffrwd Fly Fishing

Garnffrwd is fishing well despite the changeable weather, in the last week
we have had a good number of fish around the 4 to 5 lb mark caught.
The Brownies are starting to make there presence felt to' with some superb
fish being seen around the margins, in the next few weeks hopefully these fish
will be starting to feed closer to the surface on some early buzzers hatches.

Andy Griffin had an excellent day caching a total of 11 fish two of which were well over 4lb
Andy used a claret buzzer and an immature damsel to catch his fish Rob Bending also
had a good day catching his 7 fish total on a cruncher and dawl bach
best fish was over 3lb.

The February round of the winter league was fished on the weekend, Chris Bishop
from Cross Hands fished an out standing competition to take the win catching a total
of 12 fish with a bag weight of 29 lb. In what proved to be an exciting end to the comp.
Keven Bower came close just one fish behind catching 11 trout for a total weight of
25 lb, Eddy Cummings after a good second to last platform came in a good 3rd.
After 4 competitions the top three places in the winter league, Hugh Weir with 28 points
has a narrow lead over Kevin Bower by just 2 points followed in third place by
Chris Bishop on 18 points.
