Carwin Williams from Llanelli wins the 2009 Colin Miller Memorial Competition.
The Colin Miller Memorial Competition was held for its fourth occasion on the weekend raising money for a worthy cause. With a good turn out and the weather favourable the fishing was excellent with a total of 79 trout being caught.
Most of the fishing was from the surface with the trout feeding on emerging buzzers throughout the day.
Carwin fishing a diawl bach and buzzers caught a total of 14 Rainbows and 1 Brown to win the competition convincingly, second place was Craig Williams catching 8 Rainbows and one Brown and third place went Peter Furnell again catching 9 Rainbows missing out on second place by 8oz.

The Fishery would like to pass on its thanks to all those involved on the weekend and to Tight Lines Tackle Shop in Ammanford for providing the prizes.

Superb day! Over 100 fish caught.
The day started with a hailstorm but quickly turned sunny and bright with a cold wind but nothing like as cold as Round 2 in December when the rod rings froze up with ice!
Best flies - green and black gold head, damsel, bloodworm and black buzzers.

Mathew Jones was the winner of the day with a total of 15 fish. Da iawn!
