Whats the condition of the lake? 2008/08/05 12:27
Hows the lake fishing this week? May get a day down there Friday. What is the condition of the water? It must by now have had a fairly good flush through with all this rain but will it be clear or coloured and will the fish like it or sulk?

Hi Mate

fished the lake earlier , water is gin clear and getting cooler by the week , but the fish are every where a couple of feet down . I took 11 on a size 12 black buzzer all under the indicator . Definately worth a visit ..

All The Best

Sounds good. May get a few hours down there tomorrow evening (4-8pm). Will have to check with Jamie first of course.

Got down to Garn tonight and fished 4-8pm but it was really hard going. Busiest I've ever seen it but not much fish moving around. Sporadic leaps in the air and one or two showing but only the left hand side from the lodge gave up any fish. The right hand side was dead. Couldn't get over the left side though as full up. (Glad for Jamie though as he deserves to reap some reward for his hard work in providing a great fishery for us and I know that many times it can't have paid it's way). Cold wind put them down maybe and I also wondered whether they were avoiding the run through of freshwater from the inlet to the outlet although have no idea why they would. Whatever the reason, they weren't interested in any colour, depth, retrieve or fly pattern. In fact the only interest I did get seemed to be be rise to the indicator when i tried it.

Any of you boys out there nail it this afternoon? If so which part of the lake did you fish and what worked for you?
