Myself and a few of my mates intend visiting the fishery for the first time at the end of the month. Just wondering what flies and line/leaders/retrieves will take fish at this time of the year.

Sorry mate, can't answer your question as I've been out of action with broken ribs. They are getting better now and hope to get down to Garnffrwd in the next few weeks. Anyway, did you go and if so what was the fishing like. What flies were the fish on and what depth etc?

fished gfd for a couple of years now and the best flies i've used are=dry.F fly,Black gnat,V small,Damsels when there on.other flies used.buzzers work especially well vary size,colour and depth till you find the buggers sometimes their hiding down deep.jamie has recntly allowed a small dropper to be used.fish clothes line method with a v small buzzer on the dropper and a cdc emerger buzzer on the point.naturals will be your best bet to tempt the bigger fish.be stealthy,tight lines.elliot.
